  3. Wadding is a lot more squishy than foam but the ones in the rest of the bus will be about 3.5cm. The cab ones will obviously have to be thinner.

  7. I'm finally facing the job I've been putting off for ages. I bought the ply for the roof lining yesterday. I can see it's going to be a case of cutting it centimetre by centimetre, fitting, taking it out and repeat.

I hadn't thought I needed to Waxoyl the roof before, but after the helpful information given on my thread about Waxoyling behind rear door cards is this something I should also do?

I'm off to have an operation in a bit (late cancellation) so I hope it doesn't interfere with my plans of cracking on this winter. I've been told I can't drive for a while, and that's with a normal car clutch!

  8. Good luck with your operation I hope it goes well

  9. Thank you my dear. It was no biggie. The worst bit was not eating after 9pm last night. But I've just finished stuffing my face. :) I slept through nearly all of the waiting about today. I even had a nap in the waiting room before they gave me a bed. So it was all pretty easy. I've just got to inject myself in the stomach for a few days now. All those years of piercing myself haven't gone to waste. I'm sure when the doctors told me to take it easy, they didn't mean don't restore an old camper van, did they?

  11. I'm sure you're right. I might leave cutting up the ply for a couple of days anyway. The drugs I'm on, I'll probably end up cutting my hand off. And I don't want to do that just before Christmas.

  14. As you're such a sweetie, I'll share a (nearly) mortifying story with you, to make you smile. After I'd come around from the general, I got up to go to the bathroom. There was a brown/yellow patch on the sheet where my bum had been. I asked the nurse if it was me. She said no, it was iodine. Phew. She could've just been being polite though.

  15. Honestly fella, I'll be fine, but thank you. (I might change my mind when the anaesthetic wears off)
