The mini Robo's new ride / project build thread...

I've never had a resto thread as our bay didn't require restoration but seeing as I don't have anything to repair anymore & I love this forum so I thought seeing as I'm scrounging parts from you guys then I should start a build thread!

Here's a pic of the donor vehicle as it currently looks!



After the mini Robo's had finished driving it up and down the street I managed to have a look underneath, chassis looks solid but the shocks are non existent & what was left of them fell off as they're just lumps of rubber!



First job will be to strip it down but I've already been discussing engine upgrades with my mate who works on these vehicles & after sending him a pic of the engine which by the way is in the correct position (rear) he advised that he could easily get it to do 0-8mph in 1 second!



I also need to change the front rims as they're smaller than the rear with a lower profile tyre & the look we want is jeep so we reckon they all need to be the same size for a balanced stance!

No it's just missing a steering wheel

Charlie did ask if we can take it eddies, I said yes in September! So I shall be having a toe bar installed & purchasing a small trailer then

Incredibly there is a Westy Punch and Judy awning too...

 

Flipping heck, at 8mph max it would be more painful than following a latebay

This guy is my hero his jet powered bbq is also worth a look

 

Kids have been out joyriding & on cornering at full speed they had the scooter on two wheels!

So I thought it's time to start stripping it down before they damage it or themselves!

Steering will work fine with a wheel but the angle is very wrong so a got my grinder out



After putting the carpet out which had caught a little I'm left with the basic chassis & running gear
