I hope the veg will all be organic and the meat free range. Have you considered involving the kids in the butchering of the livestock? Perhaps they could all gather round yours in the morning, and in the interests of inclusion that we are all supposed to be practicing these days, maybe they could slit the pigs throat as a group activity?
To be honest I think you’d probably be able to get some sort of local council grant for it. Maybe the kids could do some composting of the left over food waste, and if you only use non bleached paper plates. This could be a new business for you ‘bazzas green parties’. I know a lot of the harpenden mummies round here would jump at the chance, particularly if it offsets the carbon emissions of their 3.6lt range rover sports they drop the kids off in.
Activities what a great idea, we could think of a couple then get the kids to vote on which one they want to do, then the losers if they are not happy with the result they could ask for another vote and keep going until they get the result they want, kids I ask you....... hang on
Children eat green veg? Rarely heard of it, well mine don't, least-ways they didn't last time I had chance to check.
