  1. Ooh, you're right(-ish ;)). 'Tis indeed a Bell 212. Didn't know we had any, but apparently the AAC do, for training. Never seen one before.

  2. The Royal Air Force fly the Bell Griffin . 84Sqn RAF Akrotiri have them for Search and Rescue. They replaced the Sea King in the early 2000's ish

  3. Yep, saw those.

Didn't think the AAC had them - we used to get most of their stuff flying over our house. Lynxes, Gazelles, but no Hueys. But apparently they do use them as trainers...

Wired up brake light switches, starter motor, fuel pump and cut-off solenoid.
Fitted front auxiliary fan for heating, 70mm front heater pipe and 90mm center heater pipe.
Stuck a strip of 5mm neoprene to my fuel sender hatch to make a seal and fitted it.
Swapped the dash over to my newly welded up and painted yellow one.
    Fitted front seat belts.

Actually feels like I made a bit of progress for once :)

Can I ask...where exactly did you fit the auxiliary fan?
I'm wanting to fit one but don't know where is best.

I'll take a pic later and post it but it's underneath just before the totem pole.

  11. Stuck four self-tappers in his door cards. That's enough for today.

Somebody on here recommended it a while back as they have fitted one. Bought on ebay:
    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/181640261890
You need a variable pulse switch which I got from Amazon:
    SODIAL(R) Mini DC Motor PWM Speed Controller 3V 6V 12V 24V 35VDC 90W 5a DC Motor Speed Control Switch LED Dimmer https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0757F2DH9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_vr2lEbMXGXMY1

Don’t think mine was clean for even that long! Test drove it down the dirt track to the workshop in wet March last year.

Drove it around the block. Thames water need the space it was parked in (again) for essential maintenance - I assume that is because they messed up the last visit a couple of months ago.

Found the windscreen wipers didn't work - not a peep (or a swipe). CBA to look at it; it's 23.15!!!
