Is the cardboard there to stop pirates boarding ?

And yes, how will I find it for a nice cuppa tea at 0100..

And .. hmm .. the colour scheme seems a bit...familiar..

Went to fill up.. put in exactly 45.5L after 230 miles. A nice round 23MPG... so thats what happens when the fastest it is driven all week is 55 mph to get round the hesitant Skoda on the M27 on slip...

I had long discussions about the colour with friends and family. I was meant to choose something a bit more greyer, but when it came to looking at the swatches this kind of looked close to what we wanted - oops

It's called pigeon blue, but also Columbian blue, which is what it'll be known as from this point onwards *shouldn't have mentioned the pigeon.

As in ... used to be a delivery van in Medellin... ?

Seriously though, its nice to change it in recognition of all the work you had to put in to get it to the point of painting it.

On Thursday I sorted the ‘loose’ radio issue due to the hole being cut too large by a previous owner.
I couldn’t tighten the tangs on the plate.
    [IMG][IMG]

So a section of metal was cut, shaped and sprayed

After which is was bonded in place with JB Weld ensuring the radio plate would be a snug fit

The tabs bent over brilliantly and it held solid

So the radio no longer moves about when travelling

All the way to Camper Calling the radio held solid leaving me the weekend to socialise with @Bernard Fishtrousers

  11. Tidy-up day on the van.

Wrestled to get a new rubber bellows for the fresh air flaps in (the previous quality rubber one fell to pieces). What a faff.

Moved my gauges up onto the dash, now I'm no longer frightened to look at them.

On @Dubs advice, fitted a CSP rear gear coupler. Rock solid, recommended

  12. BTW the way @Dubs -ster, I did have to ream the big hole out to 15mm. CSP put far too much paint on.

They are great aren't they. I should point out that I am in no way affiliated with CSP, although if they would like to put me on commission, that would be great. Thanks

    I would prefer lederhosen.

  17. They do Lederhosen machined from solid billet. Quite hard to move around in.

  18. Nope. Measured up. I had to remove a mighty 0.2 of a mm, then it slipped on right lovely.

Was out till about 4pm but had to do a few more bits.
Front hubs, discs & calipers on both sides.
    Steering box on.
    Rear brake balance thingy on.
    Horn on.
Drivers door now stripped of glass, rubbers, locks and quarter light.
