  1. New handbrake handle and stainless roll pin fitted. Stud fasteners repaired on devon bunks.

  2. Opened doors. Drained out about half a gallon of rainwater.

Spent bloody hours today, including a few in the rain fitting a new water tank as the old one got knackered by yours truly started to fill it up with water and both the outlets leak. I give up.[IMG]

Got the leaks on the new water tank sorted, then spent an hour trying to stop the connections on the water pump to stop peeing out water. Emptied the camper and gave it a full clean, I found plenty of fire extinguisher powder in all sorts of places - I obviously wasn't thorough enough before going to Lena's 40th.

Just got to hope for good weather next weekend to actually use the camper

Like the way you have included Rum consumption in "what have you done to your bus"

  16. Had a play with some filler onto a repair that I welded...
Happy with the result over the bit I welded but not happy when it meets the old paint.
It feels smooth up to the point of meeting the paint and then feels bumpy. It does not matter how much I try to blend it.

Drove 760 miles to Norfolk/Suffolk and back without having to do anything to the bus at all apart from checking the oil, the fanbelt, and the general running after putting 20 litres of diesel in and having it pumped out

    Emptied cam
If it had been a bit less diesel you could have just driven it with an impressive Red Arrows Effect.

  19. Failed to source the requisite 14mm nut to replace the one I had to cut off yesterday...so I charged the battery instead

I only managed 4 out of the 5 rums on sale. ..

Saturday, went out to see if the trailer board worked for the bike carrier. It had a loose wire on the brake lights. And for some brain fail reason one of the tail lights in the bus was in upside down and the brake light connection was corroded so it wouldnt come on anyway. I was checking at 9:30 pm so it was dark enough to clearly tell the difference in brightness. After a bit of scraping with a screwdriver and a quick flip of the bulb all was well. Another hit for the Sealey Automotive Tester, as I could put the brake lights on by poking the spade terminal on the light cluster and then hitting the switch on the tester.

Today, drove it to Bristol and back to collect my daughter from University, almost exactly 200 miles of driving. Used a little bit of oil and a lot of petrol as usual. Missed a collision at a roundabout by about 2 cars. Somebody distracted by an ambulance in Bristol.

Returned via NT Stourhead where we managed to spend about 4 hours having lunch and walking a mile and a half round the lake taking photos.
