Today I have washed the van and cleaned it inside so as to take photographs for the agreed value with the insurance company, having arranged cover with a new broker 11 days before the old policy lapsed.
Went out with the family and drove to a park, then to have lunch and stopped in a quiet area to take the necessary photos. Returned home and realised I did not have an email address to forward the photos too.
This was when the sh#t hit the fan as a close inspection of the insurance documents revealed an error and all the documents refer to a VW Motorhome VPX872K where ours is UPX872K (VPX872K is not recognised by the DVLA).

So it transpires I have inadvertently broken the law,,,,, check the details on your insurance documents folk......I didn't.

Everywhere round here is rammed so stayed home and Put some polish on

 

Drove home from my brothers on newly lowered suspension... drive very well! Last few corners from home I heard a clunk that needs more investigation

CSP J tubes and python system. Can't wait to fire it up along with the LVH rebuild.....I have a newer eber heater to go in

Booked it's MOT for Thursday, hopefully go ok as I'm away in it for 11 days soon.

 

Decided to tidy up my stuffed-mattress dash wiring, as I can't actually get the glovebox back in.

 

Looks nearly as bad as mine.... I might follow your example

Today I fitted a new spare wheel cover.

In other news also got one of those emails asking you to review - some bra's that my fair wife bought using my card.
"Great - they make my tits look brill!" seemed a good idea at the time.

 

Ouch, not nice. But could have been in an accident without insurance and that is worse!

TBH Jules, I'd not bother too much.
You're home, you're safe.
If anything had happened you'd ring the insurance company & insist that they played back the recordings of your telephone conversations.
I asked for temp cover on a courtesy car the other day, chap said forty quid, I reached down the phone & punched him.
They listened to recording, woman had told me it'd be free
Money refunded.
I recently insured three cars, one was correct, the sacond was ABC123 & the third was JAG1
I went a little barmy on the phone, but the correct docs arrived almost before I'd finished talking.
(they all showed up OK on MID tho')

 

All sorted now Dave.......all insured so back on the road again.
