Thought it best to replace the wipers with those that have been in a box for 3 weeks in my lounge... what a revelation!

  6. Was hoping to get out on the road today but bit delicate after my physio visit. Managed to get most of the instrument panel wires back in though and hopefully the steering wheel back on tomorrow so can live test the rev counter.

  7. 3D printed some caps at school to cover the heater outlets that are "supposed" to heat the main cabin of the van. Had to block them off to make room for the remote servo. 3D printers rule! printed with a plastic that can cope with approximately 150 Celsius. Just need to glue them in place with some high temp silicone. Job done.

  8. Mines in for it's MOT today. Wish me luck

  9. Does making a washing machine drum fire pit and putting it near my bay count?

  10. Yes as there is a VW mudflap.

  11. They're awesome.. if you can get a scrap lawnmower chassis they mount on the spindle and you can wheel them around when they're going ;) saw a guy in Canada making them and selling them for a couple of hundred bucks :)

  12. Picked it up from having the cab door and sliding door replaced, great having an opening sliding door again after a number of years without it.

  15. Put the instrument panel, stereo, glove box lid and steering wheel back in. Recharged battery.

Turned the key and fired straight-up. Rev counter test worked with a lashed-up feed through the bus.

On the annoying side seem to have swapped over the alternator charging and EGR warning lights -oops- and dodgy connection to brake warning light that I need to sort.

  16. Managed to get the inner and outer sill repaired as its the first day in about a week we've not had any rain. :)
Just the rear outrigger to do next.

  17. Waxed my roof and gutters to within an inch of their lives.

Fitted sidemarkers front and rear. I do like a van that lights up like a Christmas tree :). Lenses won't stick out so much when they're fully pushed in: still got wiring to do.
