Techenders: 26th - 28th April 2019. Who's coming?

I made some gutter rail clamps to miss the Devon poptop. I will be bringing them with my awning to Techenders.

Not sure if this helps.................. I researched/tried/looked at allsorts of ways and designs, but was either not happy with how it looked (cheap and tatty) or how secure it was (blow off and damage the bus)

They are at shows sometimes, so saves on postage, or if your down south, they will fit it for you.

It's not cheap - £75, but it's very sleek looking and polished, with smooth chamfered type edges to guide beading in easily. Worth the money in my opinion - as it's permanent - it's got to be safe and look nice.
The fixing screws are inside the awning rail channel, so not visible, and silicone was used in the drilled holes (making it safer and water tight) and also to fix it on as well as screws .
When you looked at the high top, you could hardly see it, as its only 12mm.

I bottled out of drilling the fibre glass myself, and got a camper conversion garage local to me to fit it. With 3 of them drilling and measuring it, they got it perfectly straight.

I remember that - I certainly won't be going down the domed canopy route

 

I just don't put the top up, will need a different solution when I do.

 

That one has the screws on the outside of the rail, making it thicker and a bit more unsightly.
The Camper Essentials one has the screws actually in the channel making it slimmer and tidier. They say it should fit under the lip of your pop top.

That pole is too big for the gap in between the devon roof and the gutter

 

maybe just the channel to drop in the guttering and clamp would be small enough for our devon gaps?

My issue is the gap on mine is not even or consistent, so I doubt a pole will work

As well as investigating awning rails, I wonder if anyone has any awning suction cups/clamps that we can try out at techenders?
