I think the choice may be taken out of our mere mortal hands . The government and perhaps the army may ensure that the event doesn't take place , shame as I can now go as my holiday has been cancelled ,is that an oxymoron

 

I am saying we should be being responsible and make the desicion before we are forced the more people that do things voluntarily mensa less measures having to be forced upon us.

Amen to that. Look abroad to what has worked for what we should be doing here, no need to wait to be told unless you think of yourself as a dumb sheep.

Now, normally I would tar all politicians as lying manipulative scum...but now I would tar them as lying manipulative scum. They're only really concerned with getting re-elected. Has this suddenly changed? I think not. I don't trust the feckers even in this situation. I mean, you never know, maybe they've gone straight all of a sudden but I think not. Think for yourselves people.

 

I think we have to understand that in the English speaking world these sorts of restrictions are seen by many as an infringement of hard won civil liberties. Personally, I think the govt are dragging their heals, but I can see how a gradual phasing in of these rules might be better tolerated by some; it's called change management.

 

I don't have any complaint to be honest. Human nature - the more people dying right here the more seriously people will take it. A few weeks ago it hadn't noticeably touched us so to start shutting pubs and whatever wouldn't have worked. It would have been ignored. Rock and hard place even if you did have a good plan. I still distrust all politicians though.

How lucky are we that it didn't hit here before Italy/Spain - had the UK been first in Europe I dread to think how bad it would be. Soooo lucky to have a few weeks watching what happens in a few countries we pretty well trust to be honest about it. China MAY be honest about it, but there is always the suspicion it isn't. On another forum I use, the nay sayers have accused the worried of fermenting panic, while saying all the people they meet are being sensible. People they meet? That's sensible? These folk have strangely stopped posting at all now, possibly from embarrassment.

There's no getting away from the reality of it now. ​

 

Sadly China (the CCP) are most certainly not being honest about the situation over there.
I spent 15 years researching human rights abuses in China and almost nothing we, in the West, would deem acceptable occurs under their control - the reality is even worse than most would imagine.

I Think Devon made this particular version so that if you start to go a bit too fast (i.e. over about 47mph) the pop top would also act as a sort of big spoiler to keep the back end from lifting up ;-)

I’m a bit disappointed on reading the instructions for my new roof vent. Says that speed has to be restricted to below 99mph

We decided pretty quick that the best you can really hope for is people looking out for themselves and if that had an unintended helpful overall effect that would be a bonus.

 

Hi I have secured a couple of door but they are in Thetford I wondered if anyone who drives up and down the land mabye able to collect them or somewhere near and deliver them to leicester our somewhere near ? We would really appreciate if someone could help as time is against us with James ???
