We will get free supervision/micky taking though - right?
Sort of. Depends what you're doing, nobody will want to stand over you as you adjust every tappet for instance though someone will explain and check you're doing it right. If you're setting your timing likely someone will do it for you and explain how and why as it's a quick job. Can't be everywhere at once.
It's really dependent on how many people are there that know the particular job you're doing. eg half the atendees will probably know how to service an engine so plenty of help to go round. Other jobs may be thinner on the ground for experienced helpers. Everyone mucks in though, you won't get left stuck and we won't all drive off on Sunday leaving you with a van that won't run/stop/steer etc.
spanners? i have a sledge and lump hammer?
Go on @minirob u know you want to!
I should be making it too
Looks like you'll be going home with the propex still in the box then....again.
I'll fit your Propex for you
To my van
is your van green with flowery curtains and flooring and looks EXACTLY like mine and owned by me? ok then
didn't bring it last time and the time before that i was in the bug.
i'm always happy to assist others when i've done my jobs, usually if someone helps me i'll have plenty of time to then do theirs with them. to be honest i might even have no jobs to do this time if i crack on at work while mines sorned this month, the push rod seals need doing but it's not life or death i might leave them for another 6 months and do them next techenders.
sometimes when you think you've finished then find the part you forgot to put on 1st so have to do it all again this is compulsary.
Will try and come assuming I've rebuilt my engine. Maybe I'll fetch a spare engine to do a hot swap?
Definitely not. Families, kids, dogs and single ladies all welcome. This isn't a hard drinking thang, though alcohol will be consumed.
"I'm just having 1 more drink; I've just put it in 2 glasses" eh @Robo?
OK, just don't want to put anyone off. It's not a "boys weekend". That said a lot of wives and GF's stay at home thinking that it probably is and a lot of the boys are content to let them think that. Mine never came along, I liked it like that.
Drinking is up to the individual, but not compulsary. Is that better?
Must add Robo was with Mrs Robo and charming whippersnappers.
.... and we couldn't have done without Mrs Robo because she very kindly stepped up and did the takeaway run for us all, which was much appreciated.
the other thing to add to confirm what zed says, should you wish to come and spend the night in bed from 9pm you won't get the pee taken and think you need to show you're "hard" by staying up until "stupid o'clock" drinking, this is a laid back please yourself weekend.
