  1. Hello
Despite trawling the web and looking through my books, I can't seem to find an easy to read method of finding TDC on my engine. I have the plastic number dial, is an 1800cc dual carbs, distributor has a vacuum.
I'm going to do a tune up so a guide would be fantastic. I gave statically timed my beetlebefore which was pretty simple.
    Thanks

  2. Have you located the timing notch on the inner edge of the pulley?

Can you post a picture of your engine, as sometimes the pulley doesn't have a notch... there is a reason for this..

  3. Here it is engine code AW026007

  4. Pop off that fan guard and turn the engine round by hand and the back lip where the fan belt fits into u will see a tiny notch I looked for ages and then when I was shown I kicked myself !!
Failing that point your rotor arm to no 1 lead and it will be close to 0 on your skale !! When u see it you will no

  5. Nice one thanks
