They stopped working after the millenium, something to do with reverse polarity, magnetism & equidistant bottoming out????
That would make sense along with the hole in the ozone layer letting out all the magnetic flux, weakening the cassette's ability to retain sound. You just get an awful hiss apparently
Pretty sure i have a few somewhere, what kind of sounds are you after? you can't have my teenage mix tapes, they were made for me and are staying with me!
I thought you could only get those in Wigan? Incidentally I had a whole audio cassette of Gorrillas in the mist...... ruined!
They’re under the spare bed..... please don’t make me look under there, it’s a scary place inhabited by random pieces of camping equipment, odd socks, bank statements from 1998, and balls of dog hair the size of tumbleweeds..... a double cassette of Now That’s What I Call Music 7 and a couple of blank TDK C90s can’t be worth making me face that....
They’re easy to find online on ebay etc. Here’s a few from Etsy. I spy Cheech & Chong among other classics... https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/624...s-80s-90s-music?ref=pla_similar_listing_top-3
I got about 60 recorded albums on cassette here. I got them from a boot sale for a fiver. You can have em, if you come get en, to get them out of my way!
