Tailgate plastic clip

The clips that keep the bars apart on the tailgate hinge mechanism have perished & cracked on my van. Does anyone know if you can still get hold of these or have I just found a valid excuse to get a 3D printer?

 

Mine also - I currently have a cable tie wrapped round them holding them together.

 

I would get a block of nylon 66 or similar and drill and carve a new one. A 3D printer prints ABS which might be too brittle to act as a clip, or PLA which will go brittle anyway over a couple of years.

 

Might be worth a call to some place like C&C, they don't list it but might know where to get one.
