T1 engine rebuild

  1. Mine were silver but it was gong to cost more to do manifold be exs silver so they went black.
     
  2. Carb in bits soaking in paraffin for last 24 hrs. Scrub with a toothbrush and it looks clean but not too shiny new[​IMG]

  4. Brians got talent strikes again. I hate it so set to at making some proper headway.

    Took the van out of it hole in the junk
    Moved some stuff around and got ready to slide it back in after nearly two years

  5. Torqued flywheel now its on the floor just need to fit a torque the clutch.

    Slide under the valance

    Back on the jack and use the jack ramps to lower the car to a more manageable height

    Jack engine up pop it in and bolt it up and that's enough cos it's midnight

    Recon I've git a couple of hours before I fire it up lots of little jobs to finish

    You do know that BGT finished about 8pm! Your. Misses will be suspicious :)
     
  8. After putting it in and plumbing it I put a standard exhaust on it from cool air (top quality great price). It ran for thirty seconds then pop it blew a spark plug out. I walked away and sulked. Having bought a heli coil kit I started again tonight

  13. Now I'm up and running its time to get an mot. Tried to back it out of the garage and near side rear was seized so removed wheel and beat the drum up with a lump hammer. Off it came.
    Two new rear brake cylinders later and a clean up of the discs and calipers on the front with a bleed of the system and its good to go. I'm sure I'll find something else wrong tomorrow
