You've installed an engine and gearbox in the last couple of hours.............i've achieved sweet FA in that time!

 

Engine is in

 

But is it running

 

Not running yet but it's all in. It turns over but isn't firing bur this is due to low fuel and the back end being high up.

Bit more stuff in the coolant header tank and I think that's about it.

More tomorrow evening.

 

where did you get the CV joints from? these are the decent ones right?

 

GKN Lobro, I got it form eurocarparts as i could collect next day and with the discount was cheaper than the usual VW suppliers

 

Carparts4less are the same company and normally a bit cheaper if you can wait a few days. Normally have a 10-15% code at the weekends as well

It starts it runs, test drive tomorrow.

Shake down run looks like it will be to techenders loaded to the gunnels with engines and gearboxes and bike racks and gearshift stickers.

2.5 sounds a bit more beasty.....
