Subaru conversion start

Was supposed to be but after my engine been with the builder for nearly three years it’s doubtful it’s going to happen.

 

Engine and loom almost stripped. Engine will love pulled tomorrow. I might even paint this one.

 

Do you rest sometimes?

 

Out of curiosity how much would you want?

 

£750, new timing belt, and pulleys and tensioner, water pump, clutch etc. Plus a spare engine that I was going to clean up and have ready to go if needed.

Is it phase 1 or phase 2 engine?

Phase 2 with EGR!! And twin lambda sensors

 

Do you remember which blanks you need to block EGR off or have you got enough space to keep it?

 

Might have enough space shuttle will block it off. M20 x1.5 wasn't it??

 

Yes. You will need some Loctite as the bottom thread just goes into the head if that makes sense...

Not something I could afford at the moment.
However I’m going to read the thread all the way through to get a good idea of what’s involved and needed for the conversion as it may be a possibility further down the line.

 

Just adding this here mainly for others reference/research, it’s about half the price of the one noted earlier in the thread and looks to be pretty similar....

Update - the copper core looks ok, but the fan output hasn’t got the oomph to blow the distance from beneath the cab floor up to the windscreen, at best it creates a bit of a draft!

 

Heater looks ok @Kruger, but no mention of a heat output in kw though

 

I’d noticed that also, but willing to give it a go, hopefully it’s not going to be a lesson in buy cheap, buy twice!

Any chance you could also post the photos/info on where the header tank tees into cheers?

Nope the cars already been scrapped. This is a phase 2 2.5L.

My other engine is a phase 1 2.0L

 

Is it ej25 powered yet?
