  1. How/where are you measuring temp?
(or did I miss this from earlier post)
    Cheers

  2. Using the output from the ECU. Which measures the temp from the block

  3. Thanks, I don't have the output in my loom for that so I'll get in touch with RJES to see what's what

  4. I think he does a front wiring conversion loom, surprised if the take off isn't there. It's just a couple of wires

  5. Yes I have the extension so will ask him, nothing labelled.
I finished wiring main loom last night and I was looking at your egr post and where you put the engine light then read your engine temp readings post and thought hang on, where's mine.

  6. If you have that extension it will be in there.

  7. Thanks, yes just spoken to him, it is a purple wire, I now need to check to see if it's connected and get a gauge

  8. I got a cheap vdo gauge I think 55mm, works fine.

  10. I see your muffler at the side, is that round box at the front (back of engine) is that a catalytic converter?

  11. Think its just another silencer

  12. No just another smaller silencer like @StuF says

  13. Although to be honest the exhaust sounds brilliant when pulling away!
Think it would hang too low for my bus though

  14. When yours is ready we can try and see how low it is, could get it tweaked so it sits higher

  15. and do you fix your lambda into that one?.. or doesn't it really matter .
I'm going to have to go down the make your own route as a) cost and b) if there is any problem in fit the cost of post back and fwd for alterations will go mad. It doesn't look that difficult once bits are to hand.
This is the basic design I'm starting from (to order bits)

  16. The top pic is like mine, the lower pic is the older version.

Lambda sensor goes in on the header just before the triangular flange. Some engines have two lambda sensors so check what you have.

Nick tune is in the process of finalising an exhaust and is worth contacting (via Facebook)

  17. They are an option but they are pretty cheap stainless and not great.

  18. yes that does bother me a bit but my options are quite limited at the moment, funds don't quite stretch to the full price + vat + delivery etc so I need to find an alternative. Exhaust Parts Ltd won't even supply me the bits but I'll keep looking
