  1. Hi any one got any ideas before I start to rip all the dash wiring out. Last night driving home every time I turned the steering wheel my main beam ligh ton dash lite up and my battery light was flashing and my fuel gauge went up to full. And it's never showed full lol. And when I turn right my speakers crackle. Then all of a sudden went back to normal. And when I got home I flashed the main beam and the stereo cut out. Any ideas. As I can't see any wires in the way of the steering

Earthing issue possibly. I’d check the headlight bowls where the wires go through and the back of the fuse box first.

  3. What sort of screen wash do you have ?

I would guess the 12 volt power to the dash is loose, something to do with wires from the ignition switch falling off where they are connected into the loom in the plastic connector. When you turn right you are most likely slightly twisting the steering column and moving loose wires.

My bus used to always blow the indicator fuse turning on a hill start. it turned out the top of the handbrake lever was shorting random wires together and to earth including the indicator wiring. It had worn the insulation off the wires..

  5. Bad earth in the steering column stalk switch, it uses a ground to switch on the main beam.

  6. Sweet cheers guys

  8. Right IV got a new connector comming for the ignition switch as that has melted abit. Noticed it years ago but have now finally decided to sort it. Which wire is the earth for the indicator stalk so I can trace it and sort it out Friday night while I'm doing the connector
