Evening all, I’ve got Pumpkin out of winter storage, serviced and MOT’d him and we are planning on spending our weekend away in him for the first time, I’m excited and nervous. Tonight he’s got wet for the first time since I’ve had him as the bank holiday weather sets in. I’ve noticed when opening the drivers door that water is getting in and pooling around the seatbelt mount. As I don’t fancy having the seatbelt mounts rot out I’m looking for a cure. I’ve realised the doors don’t have drainage holes or the membrane so will be replacing that soon and drilling some holes and then waxoyl’ing the doors but is there anything else I can do? Below is a couple of photos. Thanks for any help.
It's running down the glass and through the door, you need the polythene sheet thing in the door and a drain hole at the lowest point
It’s the safe t pedal. I’ve only had it a couple of days but am pleased with it. It’s a bit heavy and bulky but seems easy to fit and adds to the security. It’s quite pricey but I got a 10% discount from JK as am insured with them.
DONT drill any holes in the door, spray some Dynax s50 in there once dry and the cards are off. The only drain holes there should be are by the step. If yours have rust holes underneath anywhere else it will leak out in the van no matter what you do.
