Steve Jobs died today. Thought of all kinds of jokes and witticisms around computers crashing blah blah blah but it doesnt fit. He's gone far too soon, only 56 and you get the impression he wasnt done yet. To have put together an amazing company like Apple, then go and put together Pixar and then go back to Apple and jump start it into an even more amazing company that made all those sci fi fantasies come true is phenomenal. Very sad RIP Mr Steve Jobs
Great man, true innovator who has left our world a legacy, we wouldn't be writing this now without his work.
That's terribly sad news - way too young to die - cancer is a horrible way to go and he fought it for 8 years, respect to him for that. I hope Apple don't turn into another stack em high entity and keep the wit and foresight he had alive and kicking. There are a million graphic artists and 'arty' types crying into their low cal fruit smoothies this morning.
Yes, sad news. Only a year older than me so way,way too young I would imagine that he has put in place a plan for Apple for the next few years. He knew that this was going to happen and I can't imagine he just let go. The next couple of years products are already in preparation so nothing will change in the short term.
its also nice to see a tribute to him on the Apple site .. not many companies would do something similar ...
a true genius. we went from cd discmans to i-pods virtually over night. the i-phone is a pocket computer and the i-pad is the top of my gadget want list. steve jobs turned science fiction into science fact.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs RIP
very sad indeed I feel a great sense of sadness, I believe we will never witness his greatest work as he just died to soon. Rest in Peace
