Brown is earth and bown with a stripe is switched earth. Complete guess - windscreen wiper switch?
Colour wiring diagrams can be found at vintagebus.com, the late bay one is puzzling to the uninitiated, but earlier ones are van shaped and the wiring doesn't change much.

  2. Got a wiring diagram but my head hurts after too long !!

  3. Wiring diagrams are made by the Devil! and will shrink your brain if you read them for more than 2 hours at a time or without a pint in the other hand.

  4. Which dash bulb are you referring to? They should connect to the brake warning light that is separate from the other warning lights i.e. this one :

On the back of the bulb unit (A) on the diagram below the terminals are labelled, this diagram should help:

I don't know what the "v" bridged terminal is all about though. Mine is just labelled 31 and the brown wire connects to it. I assume the bridge is internal to the light.

  6. What number is on it?

  12. Is that a colour detailed wiring diagram?

If so, where did it come from? The haynes version is...ummm.....challenging.

I don't know if I asked before but which grey did you use, mine is mouse grey, but for some reason you never get a good photo, the grey is different, depending on the sun light.
    Keep up the good work,
    Tony
