spiritual successor to the t2?

The list price for my 1976 T2 Kombi bus in Nigeria was the equivalent of £4,100.
In the 'Flying' magazine of that time, Ford were advertising the Thunderbird for the same price!
I only actually paid £2,900 due to a bit of wheeling and dealing on the Nigerian currency market.
