So, found a window of opportunity to fit the new cable and it turns out that my cable is in fact two cables! A short section goes from the back of the Speedo dial to some weird black box of tricks behind the kick boards. Then a longer section which goes from this box of tricks to the wheel hub. So I just fitted the new cable which is a bit too long to the box and fed it through to the wheel hub. The square head is a fraction too big for the wheel hub cap so i’m In the process of looking for a small needle file to make the new one fit. So I don’t know if my new cable will cure the problem. Anyone know what this little black box is? Will post photo in a bit. It’s a USA spec left hooker. P.
It was the erg or whatever. Emissions monitor basically. Ripped it out and connected cable direct. All good now! Huzzah! Black box over the fence or is it worth selling on the samba? Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
