Hey Volks! I just joined up here. I'm a VW bus collector from South Africa. I've always been more into splits, but over the past few years I bought a few pre-72 buses (I see I'm not allowed to call them aerly bays! ), and now I also have two late bays, a 1974 Jurgens Autovilla and a 1973 ambulance that I recently saved from being butchered by an 18-year-old. I had to offer him my 1969 westy as a trade. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. 8) Here are some pics of my late bays: 74 Autovilla driving on a washed out mountain track: 74 Autovilla and 73 Jurgens caravan: 73 ambulance:
Welcome dude, looks like you have got a full fleet, more pics please we love em especially if they're of the VW type!
Thanks for the warm welcome! Since my reference to aerly bays got changed to "prototypes" I'm not sure I dare post any pics of the rest of my collection. You'll find most of my buses in my thesamba.com gallery. :- Haha @ Rickyrooo. Yes, there's lots to poke fun at in an Autovilla. Here in SA they're the ultimate old farts car, but me and the mrs love it, and it's become our favourite camper.
hiya fig and welcome to TLB. Your autovilla really looks at home off-roading! Did you catch the back-end on any of the boulders?
