  1. Hi I am looking for a nice Bay for me and young family. Not looking for show winner or one with lots of work needed . Just straight and honest. My max budget is £10k but I really cant go higher...don't mind some work but not looking for big project...Thanks for reading Ian

In my shopping for a bay experience....If they point out the bad bits as much as the good I think you can consider them more honest.
    Therefore a safer buy.
    Best of luck...

  6. sounds like you are looking for a pop top although you haven't said, but your budget is low and good pop top Bays are now fetching well over 15k and rising in value. We are seeing more and more over 25k these days.

I think you would either have to up your budget or be prepared to get a van that needs work, most do. Even good ones will need work and constant attention and more money.

It is about the money especially as you have a young family and if its the odd camping weekend or holiday you want, then hiring would be less financial risk and you would be getting lots of fun but wouldn't be concerned with tax, insurance and maintenance bills and you will learn about the pros and cons of the vehicle.

in your mind you are hoping for a Bay, but you could go for a modern camper such as the Mazda Bongo which is popular and inexpensive and not so demanding as a Bay.

  7. Thanks for the sound advice....Not really bothered if pop top or tin top as fine with awning...left or right hand drive ok too but think left will be where I end up as I had a lhd 67 deluxe splitty for 6 yearsbefore had to sell 3 yrs ago,and imports from dry states so much more rust free where it matters. Thanks again and hope I find something soon. .cheers Ian

  14. I'm seeing these prices advertised but are they actually selling for that?

Mines going nowhere but having just had to figure out the agreed value for the insurance company I'm wondering if I've under priced.
