I went fishing yesterday and it was f ing cold I must confess to my TLB family I used a hot water bottle

I've a very good hat but God it was cold even the carp were cold

 

Nothing but I had the whole lake to myself

 

These North easterlies don't do man, beast or fish any good, unless it's a cod off the coast up here. Better luck next time bud.

 

you still got some cod. we used to catch many a big cod off Dungeness beach back in the good old days. worth putting up with the cold . we used to catch some decent whiting as well. we used to dig lug at nearby Greatstone at low tide and night fish for the cod close to the power station.

I've moved onto bird food boilies I had a good winter on them last year, just need the southerly winds to move in

The cod like it there coz the water is warm and it attracts the prawns . I used to go there too and deal nice deep water in close . Like you say the silvers and channel whiting were big back then and cod where big too. The good old days when if you caught a few bass you took them home fa dinner , now you can’t take them but the bludeesupermaerkets sell tiny little undersized schooleeez

 

Yeah, but you were caught doing several of those burglaries, Baz. Still, not bad.

 

I still go to Dungeness in the summer for the steam railway, don't see any anglers there these days, oh and I go to the RSPB site for bird watching in winter.
