So73 is a Westfalia model code for late bay conversions. It actually goes on year after a certain year 69 ish and is the type of conversion. I think it's the Westfalia continental UK so72/3 model year conversion.

Edit. 75 year Oxford conversion according to Molenaar' s book.

    So73 /1 Dusseldorf

    /2 Dallas. US

    /3 Malaga UK

    / 4 camper US

    /5 offenbach

    /6 camper US

    /7 Helsinki

    /11 Oxford UK

I was looking at the bit that says 234 011 so73 and wondering if the 011 bit means it was a Oxford conversion. I think it does. Was your van orang e before Matt?

i thought that at first but it all fits with the original color on the m plate and the original color in behind the petrol tank i suppose they could of used a same color Devon to clone.
I also notice there is no number after the so73 as per your examples @poptop2 i wonder if it was a type of base vehicle sent to westfalia its defiantly a devon the roof matches and there is a devon sticker on the bulkhead

A41 included means it includes m codes 020, 061,085 and 187. Speedo in miles.Labels for UK market. Double petrol for driving on off train. UK headlamps.

What interior does it have. The roof bit is vague in the bc.It doesn't actually say it had a poptop of any sort, just colour.

There should be a vin stamped on the lip bit of the rear chassis on the left hand side inside the engine bay that corresponds with the vin plate inside the drivers door.

Post a picture of your m code plate. The one behind the passenger seat.

Still non the wiser. @Lord Congi Did they do a westy interior in a Devon van?

I seem to remember that Westfalia offered a Dormi roof option, and I think a deal between J P white and Westfalia was done at some stage in the 70's.

so all the info including production date match, the rivets on the plate have all the original paint so its unlike to be ringed.

Plot thickens i cant find any info on the net for just SO73
