Slow Wipers

  1. I havent actually started to look for the problem yet but my wipers take forever to start and then sweep pretty slooooooowly. Been getting gradually worse for years. Anyone any idea what to look for on this one - new to me!

  2. Hup!

  3. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Seized spindles. Off with the arms. Off with the circlip, push them through, clean, lube and replace.

It's more fiddly than I made it sound. :)

  4. If you lift the blades off the screen are they still painfully slow, or are they much faster? Your springs could be too stiff and the blades too good, so the blade to screen resistance too great for them to move effectively. Also make sure you have a good undiluted screenwash, not just water
    :)

  5. Thanks chaps. Will begin my investigations this very eve!
