Just took the old girl for a run before the holiday season comences...recently serviced, fresh fuel etching.
She's a 2L auto and once up to temperature the tickover is a little slow, to the point where I have to quickly stick her into neutral, blip the throttle and then select drive to move off without stalling.
Is the throttle adjustment, as in just speeding revs up, achieved by adjustment on the cable ( or bar in the case of an auto ) where it attaches to the cross bar for both ( standard ) carbs?

  2. The way to do this is turn the big fat screw on the top of the left hand carb. This opens up the orifice on the built-in idling carb. Don't tough the smaller screw though or you'll upset the mixture.

    Haynes has a good diagram.
