FOR SALE Sliding door

  1. Maybe I’ll keep hunting. But two classic car ‘specialists’ I found said the door metal is so thin for the large area it covers that it’s tough to weld without warping the door.
    Kinda gave up last year as I too thought it couldn’t be THAT hard if you knew what you were doing!
    But it’s spring and I am newly energised by the effects of a few pounds of turkey, Christmas pud and mince pies. Onwards!

    It is a big flat panel so if they just try to seam weld straight across it, it'll end up like a relief of a rolling savannah; but if they do it slowly and in sections, it'll be fine!

    Don’t worry about the rust on yours, just get a good rust free imported door

  5. The problem with imports is most are for the right side of the van ! Probably cost that to fix yours properly also unfortunately !
