Somebody bring the assembly lube, not the chilli sauce , bag of spanners ( to leave one inside....) and something to physically balance the engine via the cylinder head studs on .. blanket or a box.., some stiff wire for the cam followers...

 

You are not balancing my freshly painted & temperature-cured cylinder head studs on anything!

 

Get the paint off the seal surfaces, those bolts will be hidden anyway so bring it along

 

There is no paint on the seal surfaces. I masked them off, same as the threads

Oh the bit where the seals go on the pushrod tubes look like they had silver paint on.

 

I'm avidly reading the Mech Tech forum. That's a mistake I've avoided due to reading another thread
