Posted while back about ill fitting sliding door. Was hoping to get to TE to get @davidoft to have a look but never got Bottom is against frame under where lower roller is. Has anyone a pic of this on good fitting door please. Planning on attempting to sort over b h. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I was inundated with sliding door fixing at techenders, it's very difficult to diagnose from affar , put some pics up though
As @Dubs in previous had poor repair before. But before sand back is it door badly fitted or rear lower quarter... Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
The sill, door and rear panel are probably all out judging by the pics mate. Easiest route would probably be to fit new sill, then make the door the right shape with a new lower repair panel.
If you see where sill was done looks all wrong . but even if I remove this then door as @Dubs says then that also needs new lower repair to get shape. Whats your thoughts.. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
How much involved in sill and rear lower panel replacement if done by a pro ,??? Without painting. A day ?? as dont fancy rear panel myself Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I would leave the rear arch alone TBH. It will probably be fine if you fit a decent sill and make the door the same shape as the arch.
if the door is to long, which it looks to be you will need to shorten it, the sill is fitted to high at the bottom which is whats pushing it out at the top, you can still buy those sills genuine for £15. I'm assuming the inner sill wasn't replaced?
That looks as if they couldn't get the door to fit right; so they put the cill in the wrong place to try and hide it. Top bodgery!
Going to cut out old bottom edge tomorrow. The bottom of inner door is wrong angle when outer overlaps is this common and can I reshape to fit or will this cause rubbing on bottom roller. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
