The seals tend to stretch when you're installing them, so feel like they're too long, even though they're not. How much did you cut off ?
Too much apparently!!....I saved the bits. Just laid on the floor they were oversized....time will tell......good job it was a cheapo.
Not sure if mine stretched but the trick is to fit the corners then the middles and then the quarter points and so on. By the time it’s all tucked in it will fit just fine.
