Hi All I've finally managed to find a treasure chest door for my 74 singlecab but what I didn't realise was there was two types of doors fitted to late bay singlecab and guess what the one I've purchased is the incorrect one. It appears the only difference is the hinges which are a normal type hinge on my singlecab but on the newly purchased one has a single post on both sides which I assume just slots in much like the late late bay engine lid ? Does anyone have any pics they can show how the very late singlecab treasure chest doors fit onto the body or can you get the part or anyone have a couple for me to fit the later door to. Can't help as I have a crew cab and no treasure chest. However if you go to the 'show us your ride' then choose 'elite posh single / double cab section' - on page 14 there are two pictures of single cab pickups one under the other and each appears to have different treasure chest door hinges. It's hard to say for certain from the photos but one of them does look very similar to the engine lid hinges. Stirlingmoz
Thx for the reply . Just looked at a previous post and they are different and the later hinges are the same as the engine bay . Just need to see how they are connected to body.
I would speak to Schofields, they have lots of pickup specific parts but they are the same as engine lid hinges.
