Got any silly questions about your bay , things your not quite sure about driving in winter or storage , tyre pressures etc , post them up in here and we will all try to help , i will try and answer as many as i can hopefully others will chip in .
Don't be shy fire away -- we won't laugh , just advise .

i will start with one of Lou's --

How far should my 1600 type one with standard carbs go on a tank of fuel ?.

  2. should my main beam stay on when prompted? :) :) :) :)

it doesnt seem to want to.

  3. should my engine SCREAM when i was driving up steep, wet, twisty, turny North yorkshire hill last weekend? there were a number of disgruntled 4x4 drivers behind me but i was in second as there's no way i could've got into 3rd.

should i have dropped down to 1st? (tbh i was terrified changing gear in case it all stopped and i had to roll backwards to start again :( )

it's the first time i've driven *such* hills, single lane, dark and torrential rain. stock engine and me gripping onto to the steering wheel for dear life.... what *should* i have done?

  10. So long as you had enough grunt I'd have stayed in second - I drop down into first on some of the steep hills by me when I can feel that I don't have enough power. Hope that helps. First time I went up a v steep hill I actually nearly cried!

  11. I'd like to know what the 3 levers on my dashboard actually do. I *think* I've worked out that the one on the left opens the dash air vents...??!!! The middle on may or may not be the heat control but doesn't seem to really make a big enough difference for me to be sure. Haven't got a scooby what the one on the right does.
