Looking back on the weekend it was 2 degrees air temp and quite windy
We did about 7 miles a day walking

Not bad for a ten year old nowadays


I’m in no rush to go back though
If I’m honest it was a weekend endured

So after both my parents passing away last year and the realisation I can’t afford to buy my siblings out of their share of the house, we have started to convert the house back to a 3 bedroom property so as to sell it.

My mum was a very large 81yr old and in order to fit the only stairlift that could take her weight the stairs had to be straight and not 2 flights at a right angle like they were. This required the removal of the 3rd bedroom wall....which was work council approved builders did as Social Services funded part of the work.

Yesterday revealed that as much as we know the wiring in the house is the original (silver metal multi core with black and red rubber coatings in a black rubber sleeve) and has never been replaced, the council approved builders thought it was okay to wrap insulation around bare wires and leave it.









I’ve replaced it with new twin and earth and can now sleep at night



My brother keeps reminding me the new buyers will rip all the wiring out anyway, but I just can’t leave such dangerous wiring as it had been left by so called professional builders some 8-10yrs ago.

Bored and clock watching at work, so to pass the time away, I go on to Google Maps - Street View and put in my address and low and behold there I am fiddling with my Caravelle!!
I think I was fitting a new headlamp loom and relay to the fuse box at the time. And some people say I spent too much time and money on my buses, can’t think why !!

I found this in a box left over from clearing my mother's house, so I offered it to Mrs P...........

It's now in a different box in our garage.
