Yes indeed I am Rickypoo a stripe whore. Go for 2 or 3 colours. It will look better. Perhaps contrasting something from the Westfalia seat fabric.

 

if it were mine i'd stripe it but not to a standard 'vw' look, i'd choose my own design

Go for the stripes, set them out on the van and use this as a line for the repainting of the lower area. That way it willbreak up any shade differance. 8)

Just ordered stripes for my T4 work van.

 

I would say rattlecan the bits of the bodywork that need doing, then stripe it over to hide the difference that will be there.

I was going to say that the easiest way to get a colour match is to unbolt the petrol flap and take it down to the paint shop, but..........

 

The only stripes on my van are on the seats...

When you realise that the brakes aren't quite as good as the engine...

 

Stripes and paint, Go to your local auto paint supplier in the van and get them to knock you up a rattle can, that way they can offer up the colour before sticking it in the rattle can for a colour match.
