Ok. I want to start working on my camper. I have limited space, and can’t afford rent anywhere. I have a large(ish) gravelled area where my van is, but want a shelter for it to work on it out of the weather. I can’t have anything permanent there, as I need the room. Is there anything any of you could recommend that I could buy that I could drive the van in/under, jack up to a reasonable height and work under? Something substantial to withstand the weather too, prefably with closable sides, and a good solid frame. (Gets blowy up here.) As it’s on gravel, I will have to rig up a temp floor with probably 1” think ply sheets on a cheap big tarp,as jacking up and axle stands arnt great on gravel. Cheers.
Good for him. I took out my engine and rebuilt it on my driveway in my old house on my old bus. I also respayed it on the drive, built the interior, etc, but I’m older and wiser now, and want some cover for the bad weather, as a lot of it will be done more in the winter months when my normal work slows down.
Clarke do a temp canvas type garage like @1973daisey used to do his beetle and bus in if you look around on fleabay and such you can find a few used ones for not bad money.
