  1. That was my thought, they have issues apparently with getting to the top and opening again, I didn't want to do it to be honest as he is a knob lol

  3. I know you will sort the bulb yourself . But I use Autohaus Dolby in Sheffield for my Q5 and Q3. And he's normally got a few T2's and bugs to nosey at while you wait.

  5. I've heard that if you fit the non Audi bulb the computer won't recognise it - and Audi dealer won't help you out on that.

That's just it ...they are and don't loose value . Makes you wonder if it's worth buying a good quality restored beetle as a dayly , if you don't do a lot of miles .

  9. trouble is cos that bulb went another is going to go ,for sure...:D

    I'd scrap it...

  10. Take the other one out. Sell it on eBay
Drive into a wall and let the insurance pay for a new front end. Cover excess from eBay sale money.
    £320+ = Loonies
I was looking at new brighter bulbs for my defender and was wincing at £36 a pair!!

Ah, I was ahead of their pesky tricks and prices, I unticked that option box on mine when it was new.

My daily is a 96 Jeep cherokee,, cost £800 five years ago ... for the whole car... passes the MOT every year, gets you there in the snow without a worry, pile stuff on the roof, its dented scratched and bomb proof ... Headlight bulb ??? no idea its never needed one .. infact only thing Ive done in that time is regular oil change and brake pads.. Its never been washed, that raintakes care of that... heavy on fuel though, but nothing worse than a wheezy old camper.. :)

good job I aint got an RS3

  18. Aye. I watched a video on how to do it and was shocked by the amount of work. It was why I did not buy the car off the leasing company when it went back.

  19. That explains why Autohaus exclude A4's I guess:-

A cambelt change on 4 cylinder petrol and Diesel engines is only £346.* Why pay more for peace of mind?

*Terms and conditions apply. Excludes Seat Exeo, Audi A4, A6 and other selected VAG group vehicles. Contact us for details of exclusions and prices.
