seat covers question from newbies

Hi All - just joined the camper revolution with Gertie....a 1978 westy berlin - well chuffed so far! However after having my backside chewed by the seat springs during the drive home I've got some new seat pads but....how do you remove the old covers? is it in van or out of van job? Also whats the size of the allen key for the alternator adjustment bolt for tightening the fan belt?

Any help will be greatly apprieciated!

Best to take the seats out. Flip them over - the covers are held on by pointy metal tabs. Just bend them back.

 

Thanks Snotty - how does the seat come out? There seems to be a stop at the end of the slider

Theres a little lever to pull up on one of the runners then seat slides off the front.
