Seal between instrument cluster and dash

Are these available? Mine has fallen to bits. I guess I could get some generic round seal and jam that in if not.

not one on mine . May have been fitted by PO .

 

Agreed - the fiches don't show it. Maybe a PO fitted something of their own making.

No seal on mine. Never was one.

 

All the ones I have seen have one it's a bit like a big o ring and a right pain when it falls out

 

What would it be sealing?

 

possibly similar to the engine seal and if you don't have one your engine will seize, die, burn and generally disintegrate.. or something!

 

Think you will find there is a foam seal .......this has been brought up a few times before ..I will take a picture tonight of my one

You have to have one otherwise the dash will overheat causing the fuel gauge to malfunction, this is why so many fuel gauges are broken , as soon as you fit the seal, the fuel gauge will work,everyone knows that, a dash without a seal whatever next

As from 1st April 2017 it's a MOT fail

 

The original was T section, I've never seen a van without at least some of it still fitted.

 

Somebody say seals?
