  1. ive ordered a few things in the past mainly panels ive had no issues with the quality from schofields, I ordered a rear wheel arch panel and it
arrived damaged, they asked for a photo of the damage and sent a replacement and told me to use up the damaged part for patches on the bus,
so i would recomend them

You're doing it wrong, I only buy seals from Schofields now, I can even get the sliding door to shut perfectly with the cheap sliding door seal, NOS rusty is normal as they're generally 30-40 years old

  3. I've spent over £1600 with them in the last year (mainly panels etc) and had no problems with them at all.

  4. Schofields have been around on the scene a long time, they were making panels (out of a garage alongside his house) back before the boom in campers in the 00's and any of the main players today were in business. They may not be the very best for everything (hookys panels or klassicfab prob better at what they do but you pay for it) but they are always good and has been said very fair to deal with. I've regularly swapped unused panels back for something else.

Been there today to pick some bits up. Every time I have been they have been helpful and freely give advise and take time to sort out what you need, I only wish every supplier was as good and not just thinking about how they can rip you off.

  13. Another vote for Schofield's. My rear chassis legs were really bad and Thier repair sections weren't long enough. When i asked if they could make them longer, they sent me a third leg (fnerr) foc, that i could cut up to extend the two i bought. Happy with that kind of service.

  14. it wouldn't compress.I've always had and still have a problem getting the slider to close ,and having seals that are hard doesn't really help,I have replaced it with a better quality one ,what made matters worse was that van was off the road for 5 months "having the body work repaired. "and I especially pointed out the door problem, and after 5 months it was rushed at the last minute to get it back to me.Amongst other parts I bought was a complete set of window and door seals mostly ok except the slider.

  15. Same here, if I had bought the kit with cheap seals I wouldnt mind. Fact is I didn't !!

  16. Of course, they never had a problem with any of them.

  19. Another vote for Schofields, always had great service from them. I doubled up on Westy window seals & another seal when I repainted the bus last March - spoke to Rick from Schofields at one of the shows in the summer, he said no problems just bring them to one of the shows & I will refund. Never got around to that, but have just brought a secondhand gearbox off him (which he has promised to refund the cost of , if when fitted there is an issue - non of the other s/h parts suppliers would do this - "you will have to take a chance mate"= £300 gamble ! When I collected the g/box Rick credited the cost of my unused seals against the g/box as promised, no hassle.

On a previous parts order last year, rang ordered 4 small parts, guy on the phone rang me back 5 mins later to say they had no stock of one of the parts & it would be 2wks before they would receive it, he then went on to tell me he had just checked VW Heritage website & they had stock! So he went out of his way to check a competitors stock, before he rang me so he had a solution :)

As regards your seal issue ring Rick at AHS and have a chat, based on my experience I am sure they will resolve the issue.
