Roof box?

  1. Anyone have a box on your bus?

I've used the luggage rack area over the cab several times with a bungee cargo net (late westy roof) but I find it's only useable for bulky stuff, not secure and whatever is up there gets wet when it rains.

I know you can get a bag type thing that fits there but I thought I'd do something a bit more retro and in keeping with the age of the bus, so I managed to locate an old aluminium suitcase that fits the dimensions pretty well. I made up some leather straps to hold it in place.

    What do you think?

  3. Probably not 100% but better than just a bungee rope :)

  4. Speed is overrated anyway ;)

..and shiny is always good. Could even polish it up like an airstream if I get bored. :)

  8. Just got my camping chairs in there at the moment, but the idea is to maybe use it for wet/sandy stuff so that doesn't need to come inside the bus and get everything else mucky.
