What he die of? Did he just ‘go out’?

  5. He was completely nuts - I first saw him in early 1960s at the Cavern with his group The Midnighters - they actually made a record (Who told you it was called or something like that) and he used to mess about on stage then - RIP

Saw him and Russ Abott in the 80's with my dad, I can remember my old man laughing his head off.

Freddie Starr was never the same after the sexual abuse accusations, he looked terrible after those....18 months on bail must be a killer.

Was never prosecuted....yet no action against the accuser, some justice.

  7. Best Elvis impersonator there was even Elvis's backing group the jordanares said it

  8. I've just looked on The BBC news and he didn't get a mention. Danny Baker is mentioned and the new animatronics at Chester zoo but no Freddie

  12. The BBC will struggle with reporting this - the death of an old school comedian will trigger most of their Political Correctness alarms....

Saw him at Bournemouth BIC once. That was enough. I don't know what that guy was on, but he was odd.

    RIP :(

  14. Remember him at an FA Cup final in the 70's, dressed as Hitler but wearing ankle height wellies.

    Mentalist.

Karin Ward accused him of sexual assault when he appeared on the Jimmy Savile clunk click show, he said that was impossible because he had never been on the show so therefore he couldn’t of had any contact with her, now then, now then Freddie you was a little liar

Why wasn't he prosecuted? The CPS didn't run with it, despite the money allocated to yewtree?

Don’t know, I’m not accusing him of anything before anyone jumps down my throat, just putting out the facts and the facts are he lied about not appearing on the jimmy Savile show

  20. You must have seen the same show as me. I didn’t raise a titter. Can’t remember how long ago it was, but he was certainly past his best, and trying too hard to be funny. Having said that, I used to find him hilarious when he first started appearing on telly. Looking at his old stuff now on YouTube, it’s hard to see what all the fuss was about, quite embarrassing really. Funny how tastes change.
