Personally I can't see how it would bottom out due to the wheels being lower than the wishbone setup? I'm was saving for this as a replacement for the original setup. Obviously wont be doing anything for a while seeing as I haven driven a crisp packet in the wind as yet haha, but hey I'm sure if it was good enough for Vw in the '70s then it should be good enough for us now, surely?!
im getting excited now its been 6 weeks since i ordered it and they told me 6 to 8 weeks we having great weaher at the moment but i bet as soon as it arrives so will the snow {im going to fit it on my drive}
Hello keV I will put your mind at rest I've messed with my buses one lowered by t2d the other I went the route with adjusters and slam shocks then coil over shocks both of which was crap and not cheap as rust free beam was sourced so money adding up there then went with the red9 torsion bars and spax coil over kit another 400 plus which was a vast improvement by the way but the steering was still not the best now just had a twin wishbone setup fitted by red9 and it is amazing what a transformation modern car feel now my bus drives much like my golf TDI the steering is precise the ride quality is second to none soaking up all the pot holes and corners like a car the best money I've ever spent period anyone thinking of getting one of these go along to red9. In worksop and simon would let you have a spin in his bus also his has been done over 3 years and is still top notch if you want to lower your bus don't waste money like I did there will be doubters out there on any product I would say try it then pass comment this is mine
Have you rang them I would give simon a bell when I was there they said they have been very busy even sending five to Aussie you won't be disappointed the ride is perfect
hello madvdub ive rang a few times now they just keep moving the goal posts i rang today and they told me end of next week they told me 6 to 8 weeks its now been 14 weeks customer service is not very good they havnt rang me once i rang three weeks ago and they said end of the week then i rang again and they said they had been busy getting ready for a show im not very happy as my mot was due last week and i wanted to get the new suspension checked over with the mot they have lied to me a few times now if they just told me the truth i would be happy with that there product maybe good but with out customer service it isnt worth the hassle
Kev very sorry to hear that not like them really they have always Been spot on with me shame to hear that bud and yes that's a long time to wait I agree
im thinking of canceling the order what chance have i got of geting me money back i paid with a credit card
Well if they're not willing to do a refund, then you can speak to your card company and do a charge back (tell the credit card company that they've charged you for goods, but not supplied them... will take a couple of weeks or so to get the money added back to your balance, but you will get it!!)
Yes good point Paul I would ring them and quote you want a refund if not got it by the end of the week 13 weeks is a long time as you where quoted 6-8 eek
realistically you should have something like that within a couple of weeks!! The parts are pre-cut, it's just a case of jigging up and welding, then off to the platers!!
So do you have to pay up-front for one of these and then wait for 3 to 4 months for it to arrive? Deposit or full amount?
i paid up front as requested full amount with a lead time of 6/8 weeks i havnt heard of anybody else having a problem so i hoping its just a one off roll on friday
Mine took 8-10 weeks to arrive which I was told to expect. Not sure why it takes so long but I paid on credit card for assurance in case deal went south.
fair play to red 9 design it turned up this morning as they said it would But i gets a phone call from TNT saying they are at my house with out a tail lift or fork lift to drop the parcel off as if you would try and deliver a parcel without being able to lift it my lady was home but she couldnt lift it so i had to ring me mate to pop around and give the driver a lift what a joke, TNT that is noT red 9 SO THE FUN STARTS NOW thought i would stick a few pics up
I had to deal with Red 9 when we did Lime79's front. I found them helpful and a replacement part was sent out that day. As for TNT, that's a joke and a half isn't it?? Even my slim wrists managed to move that set up. Moving an original beam however is a different story. That's ruddy heavy in comparison.
