Red 9 front suspension

  1. Anyone on here got one of these and if so can they give a review/feedback. Got speaking to a guy at Camperjam who said it was the best money he'd ever spent and made a huge difference to the handling on his bay. After almost changing lanes in high winds while on holiday I'm tempted but would like some references before I shell out what is a lot of cash.

    Cheers

  2. Gingerfil has one fitted to his panel van

  3. Have RED9 sorted out the power steering version yet?

I think they still use your existing steering box from memory, so if that's part of what's steering ('scuse the pun) towards it...might be wrong - I'll go have a look.

Yes - the wishbone kit - £1600 + fitting uses your steering box and the rack and pinion bit appears to just replace the track rods. The wishbone suspension looks good though.

  5. Dogs'n'dubs and prawn king have it .

  6. no narrow option possible :(

    wouldnt work for me

  7. Best move I made. The kit comes with a new T25 steering box but not power steering.

  10. Stop I'm wanting it even more now.
Did you fit it or did you pay the extra for them to do it.

  11. My mechanic friend fitted it for me. It just bolts on and then you adjust it to suit.

  12. Sound good I can do that. Just got to convince her indoors now. Mines going on a split so you get a new steering column with it.

  13. i`m not douting the quality or the parts used or the fact they use upside downball joints with all the weight on the lower one ,but have they tested it ??? it it TUV tested or does it even need to be ???

  14. Thanks everyone for the comments on here. The guy on prototype bay clearly likes it and dogs and dubs also. One more question I had was I wondered what it might do to your insurance? A bit along the lines of has this been tested/certified? I know insurers tend to frown on "modified" parts and wondered if they would class this in the same category.
