  5. Anna your an inspiration to us all.
Love the star trails and the river, now I can see what a ND8 does, I hope to go out later in the week to get a grad ND set.
Tried to do star trails the other day but as they stacked on each other they just gradually cancelled each star out leaving a small trail.
Wish I lived closer to come out to play. :(

  6. Some great pics anna, i always take a look as im a sussex lad lol, and most of your pics from around sussex bring back memories 8). That church is just down the road from my aunties in east dean, thats brilliant that photo. :)

    Thanks guys very kind comments.

What program did you use to stack the star trails? I use a free download to stack mine which works well.

yeah alot around sussex as its local adn saves on fuel lol

The sunset was taken with a grad filter and i merged 3 images in photomatrix to make an HDR so bring out all of the colours

  8. Nice pics however having read the further comments it looks like a fair amount of image manipulation was used.
Horses for courses I suppose but I think a true picture is the one that you achieve with a tweak of the camera and not the mouse.

Both star trails wetre staright out of the camera.

The only image that wasnt was the first one so please retract your comment as they wernt made with a mouse. I will always try and make an image straight out of the camera but there is no pro togs out there that dont use a bit of photoshop for most images as they all do

  10. I don't think you can take a decent HDR image without a little tweaking.

i never said the HDR wasnt tweaked. It was 3 images layed together thats all one oevr exposed one over and one correctly exposed so that the sky adn foreground blended better and the foreground didnt also look dark

No manipulation was used at all in the star trails they are as what was on he camera

  13. I know how to do HDR Anna, calm down. I was just saying I'm not aware of a way of doing those type of images straight from a camera. Not that look any good anyway.

In orangepeels defence the thread does read like you used some software for the star trails though, although with a long enough exposure it's easy enough to do.

  14. Anna i tried starstax for the star trails, but just found my trails were short as the stars we're getting darker as more gets laid on top.
I don't think it matters how you get to the final image anybody can take a picture but it takes some serious talent/ dedication to end up with the fantastic pictures you are ending up with. To take 3 picture of the river and stack them to get that end result is awesome.

  15. Just had a look at your flickr site. You have some great pics. Really like the Dungeness ones, a great place to photograph.

  16. How is that some1 with abit of talent puts a couple of photos up and it turns into sum s*ite about who did what. Great pictures however you did them, well done!
