my beetle has been classed as category B today only fit for spares and repairs.. i'm now on the look out for another bug.. if anyone see's one for sale that is decent let me know under £3000? or one without an engine. i hope i have one before Oktoberfest!

thanks guys, im from somerset. im not too bothered about the colour its more the condition. im gutted that my pink one is bug-gered 8) but if its a decent bug but the paintwork isnt then i will spray it pink i just want another beetle. the pink one was my first bug and i only had it since june some 19/20 year old girl ploughed into the back of me when i was stationary twice. i think the engine can be repaired but the insurance company said its not economical to so now its illegal to put it back on the road . the girl who did it has written off 3 other cars i dont know how shes still driving!
Sorry to here about your bug and shame that it all happened so soon. I hope you find another one soon and get back out and enjoy yourself. You can find good ones, they are about.

sad. How bad is it? Insurance companies are always to quick to say its dead. They wrote off my jeans bug . I bought it back from the salvage company and got it back on the road for £80
I asked for advice at the VOSA office they said to get as many other reports as I could and send it to the insurance company. local garage do a engineer's report, sent it to the insurance company had a few conversations over the phone with them in the end they took the report on board and put the car on Cat "C".
