Putting the front suspension back together - help!

The beam is back on, the trailing arms slid into place perfectly.

Problem now is - how do I get the spindle back on?

The angle between the trailing arms prevents sliding the ball joints into their sockets on the spindle.

Any thoughts?

 

put one balljoint into the spindle then lever the top arm up until the other will go in

 

... I did wonder if it requires a bit of levering - many thnaks, I'll give it a go.
